Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a Geologist with a B.Sc majoring in Geological Engineering from the University of Mersin having graduated in 2006. I began my career as a mine geologist in Canakkale, working in an underground lead-zinc mine. Over the years, I gained experience as a resource geologist at multiple domestic and international companies. Most recently, I served as an associate consultant at Micromine.

What inspired your career in this industry?

At first, I stumbled into the mining industry by accident. But over time, as a geologist, I realized that the mining industry offers excellent opportunities to contribute to science, technology, economics, and sustainability.

What is the most satisfying aspect of your role / the work you do?

One of the best aspects of my job is the opportunity to travel frequently, explore new places, meet diverse groups of people, and continuously learn new things. It’s an excellent way to gain more experience and expand my knowledge and skills in the field.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I enjoy playing computer games, visiting ancient places and experimenting with various cuisines from all around the world.
